Sad to say, many people will simply look at a product name, or listen to a statement, without doing any research into the origins of those products, or the validity of those statements.
An excellent current example of this has to do with a certain would-be politician who grandstands against the outsourcing of jobs to China and to Mexico, but whose trademark shirts and ties are made in…Guess where?..China and Mexico.
Meanwhile, his supporters cheer him on as he makes statements that are unsupportable on any type of factual basis.
Hmmm. Editorial comment that does not necessarily reflect the view of management. I don’t like any of them. We used to say don’t trust anyone over 30. I think now it is don’t trust anyone over 70. Personally I think our generation has made a mess of things and its time for the younger generation to try to put things back together. From the flower days of drug fried brains, to anti-establishment protests, the war on poverty, war on drugs, debt financing, the world in chaos prompting mass emigration, rich against poor, white against black, women against men, and so on, the “inconvenient truth” is we’ve made a mess of things. None of the 70 year olds seem to have the foggiest idea what to do except give more free stuff away or register my shot gun. Of course nothing is free but buying T shirts from China is maybe not on the same level as extorting millions from foreign governments and Wall Street banks. I dunno, throw them all out and don’t elect anyone over 70, including me.
Even in Denmark, we know what BS means. A garage not far from me, dealing with US classic cars, decided to call it BS autoservice. Also, we have some gangs here (think HA and the like). One of those gangs also use those initials.
