Please stay out of these “Quick Lube” places. Either do it yourself and you know it is done right or find an independent mechanic and pay the extra $10 or so.
Hear hear! I call it “Iffy Lube,” for just that reason.
Do it yourself, and you’ll get the added benefit of looking at things yourself - and if you don’t know what they are, you’ll be that much more motivated to go on the internet and look up what exactly those thingamabobs do!
I have been using M1 exclusively since it’s release around 1975, and have always done 11 to 12k oci’s. Even a few up to 15k. Never had a hint of an oil related problem. Currently running an '07 Prius with Amsoil put in at first change and will run it about 11k.
