Subaru Horror Stories

This thread is very revealing and deserves a bump.

I will add, if I bought a Subaru (I did not and in all probability won’t), please don’t attack my car buying judgment by telling me that a Subaru (or insert your brand here) is no good. I choose wisely every time have received affirmation for that from Consumer Reports.

A work friend from the Michigan UP told me several years ago that Subarus could not take the pounding of winter there like American iron could.

Parts Of The Northern LP Have That Extreme And Harsh Winter Weather, Too. Take Pellston For Example, Often The Coldest Spot In The Entire Country. If You Have Head Gasket Problems In Simply Very Cold Winter Weather . . .

I run American Iron exclusively as does everyone I know in my extreme weather climate zone. It thrives on it. Run Mobil-1 and check the coolant for -47F .
