WHAT is the name of the theme song used for Stump the Chumps? Anybody know? ---

I don’t think it has a name. It’s just the theme music for “Stump the Chumps”. This is directly from the Car Talk site: Who could possibly write a tune as amusingly twisted as our Stump The Chumps theme music? BJ Leiderman, that’s who. Who’s BJ Leiderman, you ask? Well, the guy is a veritable fount of public radio tunes. BJ’s practically written them all, including the theme music for Morning Edition, “Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me” and Weekend Edition. And, finally, he’s written music for Car Talk. Which means, what? He’s now entirely unemployable. Smart move, BJ. ---

Well, then, how would I find a copy of that great little ditty to download as my ringtone for a certain caller? It absolutely captures the essence of this guy: a comedy of errors… ---

No one uses search engines…type in Car Talk theme music…Get Wikipedia site and there it is… “The Car Talk theme song is “Dawggy Mountain Breakdown” by bluegrass artist David Grisman.”
