# Stuck in drive

Car is stuck in drive - KIA dealer says after changing out part in the gear box - it still won’t come out of gear and now needs a new transmission - for a mere $2,100!!! Has anyone had a similar issue? Car has about 88,0000 miles.

This same thing possibly happened to my car. Do not let them say its the transmission. It is the shifter rod. It is much cheaper. It cost me about 300 to do it in an independent shop.
