Curbs are meant to define the road driving area , not as something to drive over on purpose . I don’t see why that is even a problem .
Test drive a RAV4 or CRV, nothing like a truck.

My daughter’s neighborhood has high driveway curbs. These are especially troublesome when the driveway slopes up immediately. Rubber curb ramps are available to ease the transition, and several of her neighbors have them.
My contractor friend put in a new concrete driveway and replaced his curbs. His driveway is angled such that he used to hit it at 15 mph to roll up the hill. He hated the big thump. Till 8 yrs later when the city repaved the road and tore out his curbs and put back original style. His driveway has 6’ rise to garage and city excuse was keeping water at road, and not flowing up the driveway. Haha. City just wanted stock curbs. Oh, he had moved before repaving.
