# Starting system fail

There is fabric/foam wrapped all around the drive shaft. It has now been cut. How do I reset to allow ignition start?

About all I can tell you considering you told us nothing about your car and this disaster.

What the hell did you hit?

A SOFA?

If there’s that much debris wrapped around the driveshaft, I’d be looking at the wires going to the starter that may have been damaged, yanked off.
