My 1999 Cavalier has been making a squealing sound when I start the car.

This usually happens when I start it on a cold morning. It recently started making the sound when the weather became colder in Ohio.

Any ideas what this might be

A loose or worn belt is the most likely culprit. Worn bearings on one of the pulleys can also make a squealing noise.
