I have a 2001 mitsubishi montero sport and it has started shifting really hard when the automatic transition shifts and when i apply the brake and i’m stopped it will randomly lurch froward. i thought that the automatic transition fluid might be low and it was so i refilled it and 2 days it looks low again.

Transman, hopefully will read your question and give the best answer. However I would start asking your friends neighbors etc. for a recommendation of a good INDEPENDENT transmission shop or a independent general repair shop who has experience with automatic transmission. I think you are going to need it.

Avoid dealers and especially the big name transmission shops.

What did the car feel like after you had the fluid filled?
