# Sputtering 2000 Mazda Millenia

just bought a 2000 mazda mellenia. is sputtering, mechanic says the solenoids are the problem, testing to see which one is bad. what does this mean, how much will it cost to repair.

The mechanic is the one to tell you the cost and it looks like you have no choice but feel free to ask the mechanic questions.

Does this particular Millenia have the fairly-rare, optional Miller cycle engine?  
For the OP’s sake, I hope not because most mechanics are clueless regarding those oddball engines.  
If the OP’s Millenia has a Miller cycle engine, she may need to go to a Mazda dealership for repairs.
