i have a ford ranger 3.0 v6.misses bad at idile but runs fin down the road any answers?

What year how many miles? When was the last time the spark plugs, wires air and oil filters changed?

That first post should have given you the clue.  
Put in new spark plugs, ignition wires, etc.
