When I was in high school one could get a gold class ring or, more cheaply, a ‘white gold’ class ring, a gold-palladium alloy. ---

I also can’t read the article, as I’ve reached my limit of free NY times articles for the time being As for catalytic converter thieves, I think they’re parasites with no redeeming qualities whatsoever they’re breathing oxygen that could be used by more deserving people ---
