Currently leasing the CMAX energy and was thinking about buying it comes off lease in Aug. The price will be $13,000. Biggest concern is there any issues with having big expense with battery lasting or anything else related to it being a plug-in hybrid. it will have 35000 miles on it.

There is your answer, right there. The potential for high service costs are high.

It is also why the car’s residual is only $13,000, or 1/2 the sale price after only 3 years and 35K miles.

Only driving 12000 miles a year does not seem to make Hybrid all that desirable.
