Rusty wheel rims - Rust-oleum Rust Reformer?

I haven’t done any blasting for years now. Makes a big mess in the garage and takes a lot of air. I always had trouble finding the sand or media. I used one place in st.Paul but think Napa and even harbor freight has it now. Soda blasting is popular now and the army used walnut shells for small parts.

I use rust oleum on outside stuff like trailer and wheels, but it is not a real durable paint, doesn’t stop rust much, and fades out in a year or two. The epoxy stuff would be better. Sometimes good enough is good enough.

We sent out machined parts to get zinc plated. would look funny on a wheel.
