# Rpm jump to 3000 car loses power quickly

2001 hyundai santa fe. While driving for a while and the suv gets hot, the rpm’s jump to 3000 and power cuts drastically. 65 mph drops to 35 mph. Sometimes i can regain power by just pumping the gas again. IT happens daily in the summer.
