I am having a heck of a time with these… the grommets that surround each spark plug “hole” that comes out of the head. Is there any trick to getting the new ones in without destroying them? I’ve been trying with a block of wood and a rubber mallet. I’m about ready to buy a new valve cover!

use a small amount of anerobic sealer(red) to stick the grommets to the cover.2 very small dabs will work to hold them in place while you flip it over.
