Again, while it can be done, I’m thinking that if you do accidently touch that B wire to a ground, there is the remote possibility that the battery could explode, or so I’ve been told, then all that cataract surgery would be for nought.
Excellent comment. If I do try it without disconnecting the battery, I’ll make sure to cover the battery with a rubber mat as well.

For the record, I have absolutely no idea why I want to do this. Curiosity, I suppose.
My FIL just had both eyes done. Went from couldn’t see very good at all to crystal clear and better than 20-20. He couldn’t drive at night anymore prior. Afterward, he thought they also got a new TV

Sincere thanks. Everyone I’ve talked to has had the same experience as your FIL. I’m looking forward to the surgery like you would not believe. My biggest fear is that I’ll suddenly realize how badly my house needs cleaning!
