I have a 2004 Lexus RX 330 w/242k miles. I bought the car new in 2003. I am giving it to my grandson soon. I am considering replacing it with a 2 year (or so) old Acura MDX, Volvo XC90, or another RX. Any advice?

Some thoughts, regarding that 2004 RX330 that you’ll be giving the grandson . . .

When was the timing belt replaced the last time?

You’ll want to make sure all maintenance is up to date before giving it to him, in my opinion

As for your next vehicle . . . out of the ones you mentioned, I’d skip the Volvo. Get the Acura MDX or another Lexus RX

You bought a new vehicle and it still must be serviceable so why would you even consider a used luxury vehicle . And why would it be back on the market so soon anyway ?

I have a Volvo bought new but would never buy a used one or Mercedes and BMW used.
