I recently had a remote starter installed. After I got into the car (and before putting the key into the ignition) it sounded as if the car was trying to start itself again while it was already running! It’s happened a number of times. I talked to them about it today and they basically told me that it was impossible. Can anyone offer any insight on this issue? Thanks!

It certainly is possible. Who installed the system?

Take it back. The installer hooked it up wrong.

If the starter engages while the engine is running damage will occur to the starter and the flywheel.
