2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with remote start. Remote start stopped working. When I attempt to use it, the information display on the dash states “Remote start aborted - Hood ajar”, even though the hood is latched. Any insight into why this is happening?

Obviously, car computer would not know if hood is opened or closed unless it was a position sensor installed, so the thing to check would be to find that sensor and figure out why the reading is wrong.
