I had a similar problem with the remote on my 2006 Chevrolet Uplander. I thought it needed a new battery. However, I could flick the back of the remote case and it sometimes would work. The service writer at the dealer opened it up, bent the contact around the battery and it worked fine. He didn’t charge me. You might open up the remote control and make certain that the contacts hit the battery.

I don’t think it’s the batteries, I tried both remotes and none of the buttons on either one worked. Plus the batteries have been tested and one of the remotes has never been used. Thanks for the help.

I am still working on getting my remotes to bring me an appetizer, and yet the OP wants his remotes to deliver an entree!

**;-))**

I’m sorry.
The Devil made me say that.

(OP–If you are puzzled, the correct word is entry, not entree–at least in the US.)

There should be a procedure in the Owner’s Manual to synchronize the remote with the car. I do this occasionally with the remotes for my 2000 Blazer.

This is the procedure from the Blazer Owner’s manual.

"Resynchronization

Resynchronization may be necessary due to the security method used by this system. The transmitter does not send the same signal twice to the receiver. The receiver will not respond to a signal it has been sent previously. This prevents anyone from recording and playing back the signal from the transmitter.

To resynchronize your transmitter, stand close to your vehicle and press and hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter at the same time for seven seconds. The door locks should cycle to confirm synchronization. If the locks do not cycle, see your dealer for service."

Oh, VDC. Proper orthography is a beautiful thing, but go easy on the OPs, OK? 😉
