MD was the technical editor at Hot Rod magazine for many years, until around the time that Covid hit. I’d read almost every article he wrote, always found very interesting, especially his Hot Rod to the Rescue’s. He knew technical details about car & truck engines that I couldn’t imagine anyone would know except the design engineers. He’s passed away now, unfortunately no more MD articles to savor. I found the following article about his life-focus on engine-technology, and his publishing accomplishments an edifying read.

So who’s next in line as engine-technical-genius? I nominate Mark Sanchez.
