I knocked one of the rear defroster terminals loose from the rear window.

Did a little research and seem to have two options.

 1. Resolder the terminal to the window grid. It was a clean break and the grid appears undamaged. I have a 45 watt soldering iron, not sure it’s strong enough for the job.

 2. Reattach the terminal with conductive epoxy. I prefer this option, but I’m not sure where I can find conductive epoxy.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

 Thanks,

 Ed B.

A local auto parts store should sell a kit for this type of repair. [http://www.popularmechanics.com/cars/how-to/maintenance/4221212](http://www.popularmechanics.com/cars/how-to/maintenance/4221212)

That should do the trick. It looks like Permatex and Loctite make defroster repair kits. I’ll post back with the results.

Thanks,

Tester,

I used the Permatex Defroster Repair kit to reattach the tab.

[http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product\_Complete-Rear-Window-Defogger-Repair-Kit-Permatex\_7160063-P\_N3239\_T|GRP2034\_\_\_\_](http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_Complete-Rear-Window-Defogger-Repair-Kit-Permatex_7160063-P_N3239_T%7CGRP2034 ____ )

I’m giving it 24 hrs to dry before I reconnect the wiring, but I checked and confirmed continuity between the tab and the grid.

Thanks,

Ed B.
