I submitted a question a week ago about my engine “bucking” when I shifted from park to reverse. I thought it was the trans so I went and had a drain, fill and replaced the filter.

The problem has only gotten worse - it was a slight “buck” at first but now it’s a major “clunk”!

Depenind on which “know it all” I ask it could be an engine mount, trans mount, u-joint or just flat our transmission.

Anyone out there with a 2002 RAV4 that has experienced the same problem? It only started about two weeks ago.

I have 172K on the RAV and have kept up with the various scheduled maintenance.
