when the truck is started the first time in a day, a puff of white smoke is evacuated from the exhaust. it only happens once in a day every day. it last only at the initial start of the engine. it does not continue. Whats up with the smoke? ---

It’s normal if this happens on cool or cold days. It’s burning off condensation in the engine and exhaust system. If it does this continuously, check for a breached head gasket. ---

How many miles? year? Your valve seals may be leaking a little. If it’s not requiring frequent oil adds, it’s OK. My '96 Toyota v6 does that each morning. ---
