# Problem with focus

I have a 2004 ford focus. Lately, when you turn the key on, it will do nothing. You have to turn it to the off position again, and it will starts after a couple of tries. No warning lights have come on.  
  
 I would appreciate any ideas.

Have you tried another ignition key for that vehicle? I’m suspecting wear conditions here, do you use a heavy key ring?

Perhaps the key cylinder has a fault.

Battery and battery cable connections clean and wrench tight?

Replace the brake light switch.
