Continuing the discussion from [2008 toyota tacoma fuel mileage has dropped](https://community.cartalk.com/t/2008-toyota-tacoma-fuel-mileage-has-dropped/170103/11):

> This maybe a different issue but does anyone know about WAI Global? They sell a new alternator on Rock Auto for 225. Not remanufacterd. Output of old alternator is 13.5 at the battery, haven’t tested at the alternator yet. Are they a good company?

Then you don’t need a new alternator, the old one is working fine.
