I Had power steering on my truck until I drove through a deep puddle of rainwater today. Will my power steering return on its own once the rain stops or will I have to take it to a garage?

My guess is the pump drive belt got wet and will slip until it dries out.

Have a look at it and if it is exposed to splashing water, you may want to install some kind of shield.
