# Pep Boys nixes its deal with Bridgestone

I have observed that K-Marts seem to differ quite a bit, depending on how each store is managed. Most of them seem to feature many empty shelves and very messy conditions overall, but I visited one K-Mart recently that was neat, orderly, and apparently well-run.

I just can’t help the Kmart image I got as a kid whenever I think of Kmart. You know, that terrible carmel corn smell through out the store and the over weight older ladies wearing sleeveless dresses with the underwear strap hanging down. The only Kmart left around here though is in a town where there is a Target but no Walmart. Never see much activity there though but the Menards next door increases the traffic count.

To bring it back to cars, I did work for Kmart once in the automotive department in Sioux Falls. Counting spark plugs etc. They hired business majors and we were good and they paid us well.
