Passing emissions with unrelated OBD codes

@the_same_mountainbik … Here’s a link I found which implies the ignition timing is affected in part by which gear the transmission is in, early 1970’s.

"On 1970 and 1971 models, the retarded set of points is activated only while cruising or accelerating with the throttle partially open and the transmission in 3rd gear. Under all other conditions, the retarded set of points is removed from the ignition circuit.

On 1972 models, the retarded set of points is activated only while cruising or accelerating with the throttle partially open, the transmission in 3rd gear, and with the ambient temperature above 50°F (10°C).

On 1973 models, the retarded set of points is activated only while the throttle is partially open, the temperature is above 50°F (10°C), and the transmission is in any gear but 4th. "
