First of all, three-quarters of a million bucks for a parking spot says all I need know about human beings. Secondly, on the offshoot safety discussion in this thread, there need to be some definitions(geographic, economic, demographic, etc) of what constitutes safety, and of being safe, in a particular neighborhood or municipality.
