# Oil Smell inside the car

I have recently had some trouble with my gas guage inconsistently reading the amount in the tank. More recently, I have had the smell of gas inside the car- an old 190-E Mercedes. I don’t see any spotting where I park.  
  
  
  
 Any suggestions about what could be the cause?
