Man I miss the Usenet era…

Common Sense Answer, the username of a past participant in his forum. He used the acronym in his posts.

… and he alienated a LOT of forum members before he disappeared.

If I admined/moderated my own forum, three uses of acronyms (three strikes) would be a month-long suspension.

And yes, one would be required to type out things such as (P)ounds per (S)quare (I)nch and Federal Bureau of Investigation. The time taken to fully spell those out would in the long run be less than the time going back and forth between members trying to figure out what all the acronyms and abbreviations meant.

@glasspilot was correct, I just flat out spelt it wrong, no other nothings, I’m just a bad speller…

Chris, as a very bad speller and slow typer, I can’t spell out FBI without looking it up, so I will always use the acronym FBI, and I dang sure NOT going to spell out PSI… So I would never join one of your forums… lol or lmao or rofl

If you had your own Forum it would set a record for the shortest forum existence in web history.

These days, threads on this forum only become interesting to me when the moderator has to intervene.
The following may be redundant, as there are many posts here by folks I have muted.
Going a bit beyond the ā€œfew millimetersā€, 1/4", most of us are comfortable with:

It’s a good thing that you aren’t King of the Forest (not Queen, not Duke, not Earl….). :winking_face_with_tongue:

When it comes to time spent figuring out acronyms, IRL YMMV.

This is an automotive forum so anyone participating here should be familiar with automotive terms like PSI, Nm, MAF, MPH, etc. If not, it’s up to you to learn, not up to the rest of us to spell out Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor instead of using AFR.

IYKYK.

Then you clearly don’t have what it takes to be a mechanic

please stop nitpicking

you’d wash out within the first week

I’ve seen your kind come in, bragging

Then leave in humiliation a few days later

You are a freaking HYPOCRITE, you DID NOT spell out (M)iles (P)er (H)our!!! So shut it down!!!

It’s time to put a stop to all your nonsense… :man_facepalming:

If you do not like the forum, guess what, you can leave it, trust me, we ain’t gonna beg you to stay…

BTW, you could/should be an advocate for a dipstickless transmission, if you follow the directions, it is impossible to overfill the transmission, unlike using a dipstick… :+1:

I didn’t think that would happen so quickly. LOL.

Well, I see some of the post are missing this morning, and it seems the forum will be a little quieter for a couple months anyway… We thank you powers to be…

Now, please go to your garage and make sure that you have your tires inflated to the EXACT pressure listed on the vehicle mfr’s label. And, please pull your dipstick to ensure that the oil isn’t even 1 mm over the ā€œfullā€ mark.

When you drive, be sure that you never exceed the posted speed by more than 1 or 2 mph. If you encounter anyone who disagrees with those items, be sure to tell him/her several times every day that they are wrong. Maybe, after 200 (or more) repetitions, they will do things ā€œcorrectlyā€ā€“according to our now-suspended ā€œexpertā€.

For those of you not familiar with Florida geography, IRL means Indian River Lagoon. Which is also part of the ICW, Intracoastal Waterway.

Haha right!!!, sticker says 32psi, I set them to 35psi back in the winter, now that it has warmed up, they are about 36psi cold, hot they get to about 38psi… I only put 6 quarts in it instead of the ā€œcorrectā€ 6.2 quarts, it’s close enough for government work and hand grenades…

I do need to lower the air pressure a little, maybe I will get around to it before fall time… lol
