My 2001 Pathfinder (170,000 miles) has oil leaks at the rear main oil seal and the front oil pump housing. Can anyone ballpark a cost to repair? I bought some Engine oil Stop Leak to see if that may help some. Would it perhaps help to switch over from synthetic oil to regular high mileage oil? We don’t drive this vehicle often. What would you tell your daughter to do?

The front seal should be changed at the next timing belt change. I’d leave the rear seal and watch the oil level.
