Oil leaking on spark plugs?

It is the low oil pressure light flashing on and off when driving the car. I don’t think my car has a low oil level light or at least I have never seen it…

It usually happens when driving on uneven roads (road going up or down) and making left and right turns. I believe the sensor is not detecting the oil momentarily because the oil is on one side.

After I change the oil, this usually happens again after more than 2,000 to 2,500 miles of driving. It quickly comes on and off. I don’t really see it if the car is idling on even road surface.

So you take a bad deal for you and you change it to make it a bad deal for the other person? lol You don’t care if I leave the forum or stay? I don’t care if you leave the forum or stay either. There is no scrap value of the car because it will get to 300,000 miles.

Lets make it a fair deal for both of us. If the car can get to 300,000 miles, you leave the forum. Or since I am being real nice here, you can also choose to read posts only but can never post on the forum. But if it doesn’t get to 300,000 miles, I will never post on this forum again.

Blazer , I don’t think you have ever answered the question about your checking the oil level .

As for the oil going to one side while you turn that has not been a vehicle problem for years if the oil level is correct .

I still don’t care if you are here or not.

But @VOLVO-V70 is right, you still haven’t answered whether or not you check your oil level regularly between changes.

Looks like you are afraid to make this deal because you are not confident in what you say about this car. Even though you believe the car will be dead very soon, deep down inside you, there is a big “what if”. What if the car makes it to 300,000 miles, now I can’t post on the forum anymore, damn it lol. I wonder how you can sleep well at night if you make this deal.

This is a fair deal for both of us. This deal is more about backing up your words and put your money where your mouth is.

You believe this car will be dead very soon.
I believe this car can get to 300,000 miles.
Either you are right or I am right,
Whoever is wrong leaves the forum or never posts again.
I believe in my words. Do you?
Deal or No Deal?
Yes or No?

This is getting ridiculous, imo

you came here asking for help

you have a low engine oil pressure warning and you will not answer if your engine oil level is correct or if you even check your level

And now you want to make a bet whether your car will make it to 300K

How about you answer the questions you were asked and just drop the whole idea of betting :slot_machine:

DO YOU CHECK YOUR OIL LEVEL???

It is a very simple question…

You have a large oil pan that retains oil in it, at the bottom of that pan is an oil pick up tube & screen that the oil pump uses to pump oil to all the required parts of the engine, that pan only holds so much oil in it, enough in fact that there is a little extra incase you are at max RPM (redline of the engine) while going around a curve and or up/down a hill so the bearings and other critical moving parts requiring oil are not starved (oil pick up sucking air instead of oil) of that oil when it moves to one side or the other or front/back of the pan…

Now when your oil level gets low, you have less oil at the bottom of the pan for the oil pick up tube to suck up into the engine for all the moving parts, now when you go around curves and or hills the small amount of remaining oil in the pan flows away from the oil pump pick up tube/screen so then the oil pump sucks air instead of oil and that not only causes the engine oil pressure to drop below about 5psi, but the engine bearings etc are now being used with no constant oil supply to them and that causes unseen damage (at 1st) to all the moving parts that require sufficient lubrication to live…

Therefor driving around with the oil light coming on due to starvation (low oil level) of oil to the engine parts that require them to operate is damaging them and it is not a matter of if, but when any engine being starved of proper lubrication (oil) will throw a rod or simply seize up…

You can not live without a proper supply of blood for very long, no more then an engine can live without it’s proper supply of blood (engine oil)… These are the facts and sorry if you do not understand them…

The oil level is 3 quarts low when the oil pressure warning light comes on, at that time how do you resolve the problem? Have the oil changed again? Add engine oil? Or continue driving?

You plan to drive this car for another 86,000 miles however it seems unlikely you will be driving this car 8 years from now. How long have you owned this car?

Don’t plan on the same people replying to your questions 8 years from now or quitting based on your challenge, by then most will have moved on.

No it is not. You are not offering anything I value if I win. I don’t care if you are on the forum of not. So if I win and you leave, I gain nothing so no deal.

In an attempt to bring some peace to the world and assuming that you understand that at 20+ years and 200K miles the vehicle is at or exceeded it’s expected operating life, that it has no resale value and running it low on oil will probably reduce the expected life to “tomorrow” …

  1. Your misfire could be the result of many things so check the code to see if it indicates a specific cylinder. If so, do you see a pool of oil around the plug or an oily plug boot?
  2. If not, visually check the plug and wires. Carbon/oil buildup at the tip, worn cracked wires, worn cracked igniters?
  3. Judging by your pictures alone, I don’t see the evidence of a valve cover leak of 3 quarts every 2,000 miles so looking under the car and on the driveway are you seeing any drips, smelling any oil burning or seeing dark smoke coming out of the exhaust? Pay special attention to drips from the front & rear of the engine which could be the result of bad seals.

Things like a valve cover gasket (many come with plug well seals), plugs, wires, etc. are relatively inexpensive and fairly easy to do with the help of Google & YouTube but if the engine’s already shot from running without oil, you’re just throwing your money away.

How would anyone know whether you were reporting that event honestly or accurately? Since you refuse to even tell us how often you check–and correct, as necessary–the oil level, I have no faith that you would be honest regarding the eventual odometer mileage of the car.

But, I don’t have any interest in reading any more of your blather, because I am now placing you on “ignore” status.

As they say when you de-plane… Bye, bye!

Your oil pressure warning light is coming on because – as several veteran members of this forum have pointed out…

=>>>>>> you are LOW ON OIL.

It’s so low the oil pump is sucking air, not oil. That means the critical contact surfaces in your engine are …

==>>>> NOT BEING LUBRICATED.

That is the most efficient way to RUIN an engine.

Your engine is failing purely because:
YOU ARE NOT CHECKING OIL BETWEEN OIL CHANGES.

But don’t worry, no need to start watching the dipstick between changes. Your engine is already toast.

You have bigger issues than those annoying misfires.

What kind of car will you buy to replace this one …next month?
