I have a 02 Honda accord which is leaking oil from behind the engine. Where could it be coming from?

Is this a trick question?
The leak is coming from a gasket, but as to exactly which one is weeping oil, only somebody who can personally examine the car will be able to determine the precise source of the leak.

If you are lucky, the leak might be coming from the valve cover gasket.
If you are unlucky, it might be coming from the oil pan gasket.
However, there are other possibilities also.

Have a trusted mechanic put the car up on a lift, and he should be able to trace the leak w/in a couple of minutes.

I have found the oil sender to be the weak link on this particular vehicle. It’s right above the filter.
