Oil change every 10,000 miles?

Whitey, let’s beat this topic into the ground and make the other readers beg for mercy.

I strongly suspect that when you are racing professionally you are not caught in traffic jams
or confronted with traffic lights.

"By getting to work first…"
Whitey-- In the next life, “the first shall be last and the last shall be first”. Maybe you should save up points for the next life and save gasoline in the process.

Phillip, I am not a professional race car driver. I used to drive a truck. Funny you should make that assumption though.

Triedaq, I tried to save gas by riding my motorcycle today. That’s what put me behind. Last night’s weather forecast said I would have clear skies this morning, so I took the cover off the motorcycle last night. I ran late because I had to put the cover back on the motorcycle before I headed out in the car. I will make up for the extra gas I used driving fast today by riding the motorcycle tomorrow, nice and slow.

In the downtown area where I live you can go maybe 3 city blocks without a stop sign or light.
And that’s the bigger arteries.
You might gain a bit on time if you push it there, but I see plenty of people with their engines roaring to go one block to the next.
And they gain a second or two per stop sign?
