Philly, and later, NYC, had _Chiller Theater_, which was hosted by John Zacherle, who used the stage name of **Zacherley**. While he lacked Elvira’s pulchritudinous assets, he was very entertaining. ![image](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/cartalk/original/3X/8/7/87e580c419d7e15f67f64f7d49e155cc4fe2e988.png) ![image](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/cartalk/original/3X/6/e/6efea189bb8dc4c988852af2ee60a45f1b16af9f.jpeg) ---

Now we have Svengoolie, I just can’t watch or fast forward through all the commercials. To bring it back to cars, an advertising jingle from the 50s has returned. Offered for your consideration: [![](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/cartalk/original/3X/2/5/25babd496f6c8c250f28b8c9b54e1f75cdddbb53.jpeg "See the USA in Your Chevrolet by Dinah Shore") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhR8GZ_WWMM) ---

I don’t hardly watch tv anymore except for maybe weather and top breaking news. Th3 bride likes to subject m3 to 30 day fiancé whatever it is called. Just a bunch of clowns with puffy lips. My view only. [Previous page](https://community.cartalk.com/t/oh-well-it-could-have-been-oil/205106.md?page=1)
