What scanner is recommended for a 2002 Mercedes Sprinter, 5 Cylinder Diesel?

Best place to get a (“free”) service manual?

 Thank you

 Rolf

If you are in the USA, I’d call a local car parts store chain and ask if they have OBD-II scanners to loan. You give the your credit card for security, they give you the scanner. After you scan the codes, they print them out. They will also discuss them with you. You might try the MB, Dodge, or Freightliner truck web site to download an electronic version of the owner’s manual.
