Hi, all. My wife and I are both mechanically inept, but avid fans of Car Talk. It recently occurred to us that we might benefit from a course on the basics of auto repairs and maintenance. Preliminary Google searches of “basics of auto repair” and “NJ” were to no avail. Can anyone suggest a better search term or, even better, a course we might attend? Thanks for any assistance. ---

I would start by checking out local community colleges, they tend to offer auto repair and auto body courses. ---

Doesn’t your local school district offer “Adult Education” courses in the evening? Usually the course offerings include something like “Basic auto maintenance” for the novice. Call your local Board of Ed. and ask to speak to someone regarding Adult Education courses.
