Just as I am coming to a complete stop - but not when I first step on the brakes and start to slow down - I hear a grinding noise. It appears to be coming from the front. Do I just need new brakes? ---

It would be a good idea to have a mechanic check the brakes. Maybe you need new brakes and maybe you don’t, but we can’t tell from here. Grinding is never a good sign. ---

Have this looked at ASAP before the metal on metal grinding destroys your rotors. You’ll end up spending more money the longer you wait. ---
