# Need help regarding noise in Jetta

My 2000 Jetta has started making a “rrrrg!” metalish sounding noise in the front end, when I accelerate up a hill. It happens when I am going straight up the hill or up and to the right or left.  
  
 Does anyone know what is causing this? I would appreciate some advice. Thanks.
