My 1992 Toyota Corolla’s battery keeps dying. My trusted mechanic did a complete charging systems check and concluded that nothing’s wrong with the system. The battery is only two months old, yet the car keeps dying unexpectedly, and even with jumper cables, it is very difficult to start the car (takes multiple attempts to recharge).

The charging system may be OK, but if there is a constant battery drain somewhere (other than the standard radio and computer drain), or a short in the wiring, the battery will be drained nonetheless.

If the battery is good and the charging system is good, the problem is elsewhere. Time to start checking the wiring.

Even a brand new battery can have an internal defect. You should have it load tested, especially if this started with the new battery.
