My car takes extra long to accelerate over 2500rpms in every gear

No shop is going to charge only 20 minutes labor for plugs, imo

I looked up the cost to replace the plugs in this car in my area.

$137 tops.

They got ripped off.

Tester

Labor/flat rate for spark plugs is 0.5 (1/2) hour, Distributor cap and rotor is 0.3 (18 minutes) and ignition wires 0.5 hours…

I’m gonna say he probably had the spark plugs, ignition wires and cap and rotor replaced for the $500…

I posted the time it would take me to change the plugs, not the time that would be charged. I can believe that somewhere between a half and full hour would be charged. I don’t have the resources that you do to look up the standard charge. Thanks for posting a standard charge.

I had an Omni with a similar problem that no one could diagnose for a few years. Turned out that some upgrade gears had been installed in the transmission under drive train warranty and the mechanic forgot to plug the speed sensor on the transmission back in.
