I have replaced the same cylinder coil on a 2008 RAV4 3 times over the last 6 months. Any suggestions?

Coils burn out either b/c they’re built poorly, or b/c too much current is routed through them by the car’s ignition system. Purchasing from a different vendor can work for the prior, and for too much current, either the spark plug gap is too wide, or the ignition module or engine computer is faulty. Coils need to be properly mounted also, the mounting method absorbs the heat produced by the current flow and keeps them cool.
Most of the time coils fail due to aged and widely gapped spark plugs and/or moisture in the plug wells which can contribute to plug misfires.
