Everywhere thinks they have the worst traffic. Last objective study I saw ranked Honolulu worst for car commuters, then LA, San Francisco, and New York. Honolulu is bad because of considerable growth and road and public transit construction that didn’t keep up. The rest have always been bad. Commutes from the outer DC suburbs are bad, but most of the population lives closer in. Likewise Chicago. I don’t think you’ll find the traffic a big deal.
