I just think it’s foolish NOT to run 50/50 mix no matter where you live. Beside lubricant the anti-freeze also protects from boiling…plus they have anti-rust inhibitors. 50/50 mixture is NOT just for cold climates. I’d assume that you’d be checking for a 50/50 mixture no matter where you live.
Thanks you everybody for all of the great advice. One more thing…do you recommend buying very good “all season tires with with 6/32 tread” before he leaves CA instead of winter tires. Any brands you like?
