So the filter pipe went up nicely into the gasket and felt snug when home? It looks like the filter pipe head is meant to mate with the lip on that seal.
Whenever I go for parts or work on things, I have a dial caliper on hand to QA stuff.
Made in China. Their calipers are also made in China.
I always buy an extra quart or two of fluid since the book never seems to be correct.
I had problems with puralator air filter on my 09 Camry. The rubber seal would not fit in the air box. Switched to Napa brand and it fit correctly.
Had a Puralator air filter in my '01 Cavalier. One dimension was about a half inch too short and didn’t seal. Bought a Fram and it fit perfectly. (Yeah I know, everybody hates Fram.)
Not me. I use Fram from time to time. But prefer Puralator. I haven’t come across a mismatched filter yet. Maybe I’m just lucky.
