# Money grabbing remote access key scam

I have lost my remote key, I need my remote key. Lexus dealer says I must have a remot key to have another made or it will cost $900. Please say this isn’t so!

No scam. The vehicles computers and other high tech electronics will need to be replaced and/or reprogrammed. It’s a safety thing to prevent theft.

A person came into our shop claiming he had only 1 key for his Saab and it got ran over by a different car. That bill was about $1400.00.
