Missing metrics - I just need to rant for a minute

I don’t even know what you’re asking about. But you can be sure that if/when I need a set as weird as what is pictured (since they’re not 6 point - 12 pt?), I’ll just find it online. If I can’t find anything over an E16 locally, I won’t find that either.

Is your experience with buying tools via the internet pretty good? It seems like there’s a pretty good chance you might not actually get what you think you are buying.

The old go to was pawn shops, but mine have aways been off the truck… I did get my big craftsman black box off a tool truck for 1/2 the price in stores, it was a trade in and had never been used (Earnhardt fan)…

I’ve had pretty good luck on used & even new tools at flea markets. Tools and car parts are things I prefer to see and hold first, so I can make sure it is actually what I’m looking for before buying.

I hadn’t used eBay for years but now have bought some NLA mower parts with no problems. The trick is to know the part number you are looking for. So I’ve been happy for the few times I’ve used them.

I can emphatically say YES

I always inform myself ahead of time what something cost new and then I decide how much I’m willing to spend

I get EXACTLY what I think I’m buying

I bought a nice set of roll pin punches at an old machinery show last year. Everyone should have set. I bought them because I’d never seen them on the shelf before and Taryl demonstrated how handy they are. Still looking for a roll pin to use them in, but I’m ready.

Steady now. You will find that roll pin. No matter how long the X has been sitting around, the occasion always comes around where it comes in handy.

But then you can’t find them :grinning:
